My name is Lara Flanagan and My Notes from New England was initially about the journey I travel with my constant companions of my young twins Archie and Larissa, my two mad dogs Kevin Rosie and the beautiful world of New England that surrounds me. Read More
As well as writing for My Notes from New England Lara is also a regular contributor for Tourism websites, publications and private blogs. Her clients have included Health Magazines, a Luxury Hotel Travel Photographer, Tourist Associations and Parenting websites. If you like to use any of the posts from My Notes from New England or would like Lara to write on a specific topic for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Lara’s love affair with photography shortly began after her move to the country with her daily quest to #startthedaywithsomethingbeautiful. Her photographs are focussed on the local scenery, moments of beauty, her children and animals and there is always a windmill or two. Her work has been included on Parenting websites and lifestyle blogs and she was a contributor for the recent “Beautiful Tenterfield” book. Her work has also been used at fundraising events.
Lara’s experience in Public Speaking probably dates back to when she was a wee thing. She was cast in the local school production of Wizard of OZ as Dorothy but when her moment came for ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’, she probably realised at that moment that she was better of speaking rather than singing and she has been speaking ever since.
Lara is a motivational and inspirational speaker and easily relates to so many people. She has spoken about her experience with MS, her belief in the power of nutrition as medicine, vegan food, parenting and about the importance of being brave. She has spoken at Charity Fundraising functions, Awards Nights, Rotary and Probus functions, networking functions and women’s events. She can make you both laugh and cry and is a wonderful speaker at any function.
